Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, where gambling den gambling is not legal. Eight casinos are established in a relatively tiny location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling dens is in a perfect destination, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal income gained from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of controls requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; however, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 17:00, and although visas are apparently needed to pass, there are means around this, as is accurate of many border crossings.

The first Cambodia casinos premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored ship casino, features 150 slot machine games and 60 tables. The Naga gambling hall is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are 150 slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machines and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slot machines and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six table games, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and 66 of the normal table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive resort and hotel complex that contains many amenities aside from the casino, which houses 10,000 square feet of 130 slots and eighty eight gaming tables.
